- I was distracted over the course of this organizational mess by wondering what exactly the ghost writer did. After reading this book designed to make Rick Pitino seem innocent of the many slimy things he was alleged to have done, my opinion of him actually diminished. The erratic subject switching and irrational, albeit triumphant, conclusions obfuscate the story to the point where one can only assume that he is guilty of everything alleged and much more. My review suggests the possibility of train wreck, B-movie style fun. But it's not. It's a slog.
- I met Rick ,back in the 90s. When he first came to Kentucky, he had a new book, which he sighed for me.Papa John's pizza, had a convention Rick was the keynote speaker. The John S.part surprised me. A lot of what he said about the fans is so, I know most the people he wrote about.I think he blamed everyone except Rick. He did give a lot of insight into how the shoe company's control the college's. He is right he should have stayed at KY.As a UK fan I wish him the best.

- An interesting book. I find it hard to believe this man knew nothing of what his subordinates were doing as far as recruiting goes, as he professes. As head coach it is his responsibility to know. As the saying goes, “the buck stops hereâ€. Although he hasn’t been indicted, Pitino seems to blunder from one scandal to the next. It’s not enough to say he just didn’t know anything. I enjoyed the first part of the book about his playing career and early coaching experiences.
- Rick Pitino was once again tooting his own horn. This book was hardly the truth. I would have hoped he would have come to grips with his role, his cover up and his complicity but that will never happen.
- I bet you’ll be surprised with just how human and passionate Coach Pitino is. This book is a great read for not just Cardinal fans but any doubter who thinks they know the whole story. Before you jump to conclusion, hear his side.
