- This is a good book for beginners it has a lot of vocabulary words and helps with some grammar doesn't go very in depth though. There are helpful practice exercises with the answers in the back of the book. This book is almost identical to the 7th edition, save yourself the money and buy this one. Great book for the price.
- The book is very user-friendly and does indeed take a communicative approach to teaching a foreign language. The illustrations, exercises, and answer key are all very helpful. I just wish there were an English-French glossary in the back to go along with the French-English one.
