  • nice perspective , Been reading several books on this topic and this is better than most. I would recommend it.
  • While I will probably never preserve wild game or foul, this book has an abundance of quality information on preserving wild fruits, veggies and much more. Great pictures and recipes.
  • If you live in the area that this book was written from, it would probably be good. It should state "written by someone who lives near an ocean". Living in Wisconsin, there were very few recipes that I could use. When titling wild food cookbooks it should say the region it was written in.
  • The book gave great tips on canning items that are not found in other books. A must to add to your canning guides!
  • read this book at the library and had to get my own copy. haven't tried the recipes yet, have to wait until spring.
  • I*'m not wild about this book. Some of the wild foods are obscure, you almost have to have a smoker, and I guess I expected more and simpler recipes for more of the common wild foods.
